A Question of Heritage

This exhibition showcases 10 buildings from South Perth, listed in the ‘State Register of Heritage Places’. These buildings have been transported in to the natural context that may have existed at their location prior to their construction. The juxtaposition between landscape- and built-heritage creates beautiful and obscure situations, allowing the observer to re-discover both.
We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians, the Whadjuk people, as this continuing culture has shaped the landscapes depicted in these photographs in the past, and in their continued contribution to shaping these environments in to our future.
